EVENT ORGANISATION (period 2006 - 2009)

Project Manager, IJburg Festival Net uit het IJ (In cooperation with Shake the Tree)
Together we wrote a complete festival plan for IJburg a quarter in Amsterdam. The festival contained music, food corner and a market. Idea behind the festival was to organize a ‘what is there to see’ festival at IJburg, like a public relations day. IJburg is a new quarter in Amsterdam who wants to introduce them to the rest of the city. The festival with 5000 visitors was a big success. EGOTAINMENT and Shake the Tree will probably organize festival Net uit het IJ again in 2011. EGOTAINMENT was as Project Manager responsible for the budget, contact with all the participants, festival decoration, suppliers (from toilets to podium to fence work), and festival crew. Project Manager Shake the Tree was responsible for the food corner, overall Public Relations and the opening of the festival.

Public Relations, communication and production CHOCA Festival, CHOCA

I did Public Relations and communications for a new festival in Amsterdam all about chocolate. I wrote press releases for newspapers, magazines, radio and television about the festival. For the launch of the festival I organized a press meeting. I helped the production team to organize ‘CHOCA’ activities during the festival. TEAM CHOCA started the fundraising for a new chocolate festival in 2011. I am introducing our festival plan to potential sponsors.

Event manager, Robin Good
I organized events for companies who want to spend a day with their employees doing charity work. As Event Manager I planned the event day together with the charity-organization and company. For example: building a playground for disabled children. I organised all the materials, tools, a design for the playground, transport to and from the location, catering and finances. On the day of the event I was on site as main contact person.

Producer ‘Globalicious Love A Fair’, Globalicious
The ‘Love a Fair’ is an awareness campaign for the UN Millennium Goals. Visitors to the ‘Love a Fair’ can learn about the Millennium Goals in a creative way: make a painting about the Millennium Goals, try fair food and tell your message to the world in front of a camera. The ‘Love a Fair’ is an artistic village combined by several organisations that want to create awareness. I had contact with the festivals about the location for our village, set-up and de-rig of the village, arranging volunteers to help during show days, finances and catering. I was contact person for all participants of the ‘Love a Fair’.

Public Relations (period 2009 - now)

Ragbag
For the Dutch Company Ragbag I am in charge of the PR. Ragbag makes bags, wallets and agenda’s from recycled plastic or fabric. Many people in India earn a fair income by collecting the plastic of fabric and making the bags. Ragbag won several awards for their way of working. Via (mainly) free publicity I try to keep Ragbag in the picture and make sure that more products are being sold.
